Paul Stephens

Development Partner

Paul Stephens joined Hawkins Companies over 16 years ago as the Director of Leasing. During his time in the leasing department, he transacted over 50 leases and pad sales with a range of national and regional tenants both large and small.

In 2005, he was promoted to a Development Partner and has primarily managed the company’s development efforts in Cali­fornia, focusing on development for Walgreens drug stores in Northern Califor­nia. Since 2005, Paul has worked closely with various other tenant representatives to locate new development and redevelopment sites in order to satisfy their needs.

Paul has experience with large scale, as well as, smaller standalone projects and tailors his projects to his tenant’s expansion needs or to the demand in a given market. Beginning in 2015, Paul ex­panded his focus and com­menced work on a unique, high-end, mixed use commercial development in our backyard.  It began with a 65,000 square foot office building; the corporate headquarters for a growing tech company in Eagle, Idaho, as well as sit down restaurants and multitenant retail.

Paul received his Bach­elor of Arts in Economics, majoring in International Economic Development and receiving minors in Business and Japanese Area Stud­ies from Washington State University.

The number of months Paul spent living in Tokyo.
One of the most influential times in his young adult life was being awarded an internship working for an international distribution company.  He lived on his own in Tokyo for 3 months which allowed him to immerse himself into the culture and language.  Not only did he learn a lot about himself at a young age, while still attending WSU, but he also learned more about the Japanese language during those 3 month than during all 6 years of schooling.
